I will provide a blog/report detailing what I did and what I learned from my experience. Within the blog/report, I want to also inform my readers ways they can to help this organization and focus on their heart health. I will also attach as many photos as I can to show how incredible my community service was. Here are some of the photos I had people send me while at the events.

This is the beginning of my EDGE project. Its January 10th 2018 and I am beginning to plan for the week of fundraising. Somethings on my to do list right now include: Order Philanthropy T shirts Book rooms on campus for the activities Get the teams organized Create flyers with each event  I am going over the details with some of my sorority sisters to make sure the plans sound all set. The theme for the week in February is baseball. I want to get as many baseball decorations and fun things to hand out to people when they donate to American Heart Health Association. I already have partnered with the marketing director in my sorority and she has the t shirt designs all picked out. I am super excited to see how they turn out. To book the rooms I will have to go through facilities on the SUU campus and reserve the rooms to hold all of the activities for the week. I think it will be to my advantage to book the rooms in a month in advance. **To the right you will see the f...

Its February 25th and its the week has come to an end. So far we have had an amazing turn out from the community. We ended the week with a pageant for the team leaders to compete in. The results of "Mr. Heartthrob" will be from the highest amount of money made. The pageant is just for the guys to have fun and compete on a stage against each other. The turn out for the pageant was amazing! I had an entrance fee of $5 to watch the pageant. That money raised from the pageant which straight to American Heart Health Association, just like all of the other money raised. I made pageant sashes for the boys who place (photo to the right) The winner was Brandon Payne, representing the Sigma Chi Fraternity (as you can see in the photo to the right) I have learned a lot during this week. I have learned how to manage my stress better. It was a stressful week but I had so much fun.

Its February 10th 2018 and the philanthropy week begins in about two weeks. As of right now I feel prepared and ready for that week to begin. I am a little stressed about the turn out for the events but I know it will turn out great. As of right now I do not have a money goal for the week. I am thinking the goal might be $10,000. I have never ran a fundraiser so I am not sure as to how much people normally raise within a week. The shirts have been picked up and look amazing! I am currently working on a wooden pallet sign that I will have at every event. This wooden pallet will be painted and have each team name on each plank. This is a way for me to represent the teams and advertise to the community. I have all of the rooms reserved. Reserving them a month ago really helped.  With the support from my sorority and sorority sisters, I know that this fundraiser is going to be so much fun and hopefully help millions of people associated with American Heart Health. **The phot...

With my EDGE project I most importantly want to give back to my community. I am going to partner up American Heart Association and my sorority to raise money for heart health research. I am hosting a weeklong event where we will have teams compete to raise the most money. The teams will have a representative about roughly 6 members of my sorority to help. Each day there will be an activity where teams will compete for first place. Points will be given to those who place first in the competitions and every $5 raised. At the end of the week there will be a pageant and the winner will be announced.   I will be creating a donation link for those not participating to still be able to donate to this organization. I will be preparing and planning in January 2018 and will complete at the end of February 2018. Being...
